Otway Wines Chardonnay 2022
$39.50 Inc GST
We are justifiably proud of this wine, which was hand crafted by Ray Nadeson at Lethbridge Wines.
Nectarine, Granny Smith apple and toasted brioche. Rich yet elegant, with a long, precise finish.
While still restrained, linear, and complex, this wine reflects the winemaking style of the winemaker, while still displaying the characteristics of the cool Otways climate, and the Bernard 95 clone – a classic Dijon clone.
The grapes were harvested from our Deans Marsh vineyard on Easter Saturday 2022 and delivered to Lethbridge on the same da. The bunches were immediately chilled 100% whole bunch pressed the following day.
The wine was wild yeast and barrel fermented in 50% new oak (right alongside Lethbridge’s own amazing chardonnays), This wine has a style similar to Chablis.

The Wine Front – Gary Walsh
94 points.
“This has intensity and flavour, though it keeps itself trim and lively. White nectarine, preserved lemon, some biscuit spice oak, fennel, and a whisper of struck match complexity. It’s medium-bodied, juicy and flinty, some pink grapefruit in with a little miso paste savouriness, and the finish is bright and long with a bit of ginger in the aftertaste. Classy with plenty of Chardonnay character. Very nice.”
